These professional strength products will save you lots of time and will make cleaning almost effortless! Best of all, they will save you a lot of money over high priced, watered down, store-bought products.
These are concentrated, commercial strength products and will do an excellent job when properly diluted and used. If you have questions about cleaning certain items or stains, call us or Kleenco and get recommendations about what product to use and how to do it, the phone number is on each bottle.
PROFESSIONAL RULES TO CLEAN BY:
1) Identify the grime. Look on the Stain Chart. Choose the right cleaner for the job. Call if you have questions.
2) Read and understand the directions completely. This is very important for your safety! Professional strength products can cause damage if not used properly
3) Easy does it. Work from the most gentle cleaner (usually EFFORTLESS, a neutral pH spotter) to a more powerful. Don't use the strongest first.
4) Avoid abrasives whenever possible. If you scratch the surface you give grime a place to grab hold.
5) Give the cleaner time to work. Apply the cleaner and let it sit, while you do something else, for the
recommended time (called dwell time) so it can start to break down the grime. If you start scrubbing immediately you are wasting your time, your effort and your cleaner.
6) If you have used another brand of spot remover before Kleenco, it may have "set" the stain and it cannot be removed. Some store bought spot removers are not neutral pH and will either remove or "set" a stain. These "miracle" products are not your best choice.

BEFORE YOU START
1. Before you start pretest spotting procedures and chemicals on an inconspicuous area to ensure product or method will not remove or change the color.
2. Before you start, vacuum to remove loose soils.
3. When removing inks always start with Kleenco's Kleen-Tough. Follow with Kleenco's Effortless and extract the spotters using Carpet-Brite.
4. After the stain is visibly removed STOP your stain removal efforts. It is not necessary to continue.
5. Always rinse spotters out of the carpet with water.

FRESH BLOOD STAINS
1. Wearing latex gloves blot up the bulk of the stain.
2. Apply Kleenco Double-Duty (EPA registered disinfectant) allow to remain 10 minutes. Blot or extract.
3. Apply Kleenco Effortless, agitate. Blot or extract.

DRIED BLOOD STAINS
1. Wearing latex gloves scrape off as much dried blood as possible.
2. Apply Kleenco Double-Duty (EPA registered disinfectant) allow to remain 10 minutes. Blot or extract.
3. Apply Kleenco Micro-Solve, allow enough time for the solution to digest stain. Repeat as needed.

CANDLE WAX
1. Lay a white Turkish towel over the stained area. Apply heat to the towel using an iron set on highest heat (do not use steam.)
2. Iron wax into towel.
3. If any residual wax remains remove it with D-Solver.
4. If any dye or coloring from wax remains, use Kleenco's Red Medic to remove it.

FRESH COFFEE STAINS
1. Blot up as much as possible.
2. Apply Effortless to the stain, blot with clean, white, absorbent toweling.

OLD COFFEE STAINS
1. Apply Kleen-Oil to the stain, blot with clean, white, absorbent toweling.
2. Apply Coffee-Out to stain, wait 5-15 seconds and blot with clean, white, absorbent toweling.
3. Rinse with water or extract clean using Carpet Brite.

CRAYON & FELT TIP MARKER STAIN
1. Apply Kleenco's Kleen-Tough to a clean, white cloth and blot the area. If crayon appears on cloth, apply Kleen-Tough directly to the stain, agitate and blot.
2. Rinse with Effortless or extract clean using Carpet-Brite.
3. If no crayon appears on cloth apply Effortless to the stain and blot with clean absorbent toweling.

FRUIT DRINK STAINS
1. Apply Kleenco's Red Medic to the stain. Cover solution with a clean, white cotton towel slightly dampened with water.
2. Heat towel with an iron set to the highest heat. Apply heat for approximately 15-20 seconds. Repeat this procedure until stain is completely removed.

FOOD STAINS
1. Remove excess food soil.
2. Apply Effortless directly to the stained area. Blot with absorbent toweling.
3. On especially stubborn food soils use Kleenco's Micro-Solve in place of Effortless.

GREASE STAINS
1. Apply Kleen-Tough directly to the stain. Agitate, working from the outer edges of the stain to the center. This will prevent the stain from spreading.
2. Lay a clean, white absorbent towel over the spotting solution and tamp with a spotting brush. Repeat as needed.
3. Rinse with Effortless or extract clean using Carpet Brite.

CHEWING GUM
1. Apply Gum-Remover (D-Solver) directly to stain.
2. Score gum using a scraper or putty knife and allow gum remover to penetrate the soil.
3. Using a bone scrapper or dull knife gently agitate the solution.
4. After gum is removed rinse with water and blot dry.

LIPSTICK STAINS
1. Apply Kleen-Tough directly to the stain. Agitate, working from the outer edges of the stain to the center. This will prevent the stain from spreading.
2. Lay a clean, white absorbent towel over the spotting solution and tamp with a spotting brush. Repeat as needed.
3. Rinse with Effortless or extract clean using Carpet-Brite

REMOVE ODORS FROM CARPETING
1. Apply Kitty Scram (MAXIM) directly to the source of the odor. It may be necessary to pull carpet away from floor and treat the carpet back, pad, and tack strip.
2. After treating back of carpet spray a light mist on the carpet surface. Cover area with a damp towel, allow to dry.

OIL BASE PAINT STAINS
1. Apply Kleen-Tough directly to the stain. Agitate, working from the outer edges of the stain to the center. This will prevent the stain from spreading.
2. Lay a clean, white absorbent towel over the spotting solution and tamp with a spotting brush. Repeat as needed.
3. Rinse with Effortless or extract clean using Carpet Brite.

LAYTEX BASE PAINT STAINS
1. Scrape excess paint from carpet using a bone scraper or dull knife.
2. Soak a towel in hot water. Lay it over the stain and allow 2 - 5 minutes for moisture to penetrate the paint. Scrape again to remove any loosened paint. Apply a solution of Kleen-Tough diluted 50/50 with water to the stain. Agitate and blot dry.
3. Rinse with Effortless or extract clean using Carpet Brite

SHOE POLISH STAINS
1. Apply Kleen-Tough directly to the stain. Agitate, working from the outer edges of the stain to the center. This will prevent the stain from spreading.
2. Lay a clean, white absorbent towel over the spotting solution and tamp with a spotting brush. Repeat as needed.
3. Rinse with Effortless or extract clean using Carpet Brite.

URINE STAINS
1. Blot up as much as possible.
2. Apply Pet-Out to the stain, blot with clean, white, absorbent toweling. Use Kitty Scram (MAXIM) to remove urine odors.

VOMIT
1. Remove as much of the soil as possible.
2. Apply Kleen-Oil to the stain, blot with clean, white, absorbent toweling.
3. Apply Pet-Out to stain, wait 5-15 seconds and blot with clean, white, absorbent toweling.
4. Rinse with water or extract clean using Carpet Brite.

STOOLS (EXCREMENT)
1. Remove as much of the soil as possible.
2. Apply a generous amount of Micro-Solve, cover with saran wrap and allow enough time for the solution to digest stain (up to 24 hours). Repeat as needed.
3. Apply Kleenco Double-Duty (EPA registered disinfectant) allow to remain 10 minutes.
4. Blot or extract.

WINE STAINS
1. Blot up as much of the spill as possible.
2. Apply Kleen-Oil to the stain, blot with clean, white, absorbent toweling.
3. Apply Kleen-Tan to stain, wait 5-15 seconds and blot with clean, white, absorbent toweling.
4. Rinse with water or extract clean using Carpet Brite.

Stain Removal

Spot removal is essential in maintaining the appearance of your carpet. Giving quick attention to spills will make spot removal easier and reduce damage to the carpet. Kleenco's Effortless will work to remove most common spots. Treat unusual stains with Kleenco's Professional Spot Remover Kit.

Six Steps to Successful Stain Removal

1. Remove the spot or stain as soon as possible. Allowing the stain to set makes it more difficult to remove.

2. Try to identify the type of stain whenever possible. The composition of the stain will determine what method and which spotter to use.

3. Pretest any spot removal agent in an inconspicuous area to make certain the solution will not damage the fiber or the dye.

4. For fresh stains caused by spills of liquids remove as much liquid as possible. Blotting with clean white absorbent toweling is the preferred method. For stains caused by spills of solid materials, gently remove the soil with a spoon, or rubber spatula. Then use the appropriate spot remover.

5. Avoid spreading stains by working from the outside edge of the stain towards the center. Avoid over-wetting the carpet by applying too much stain remover. Always blot the stain, do not rub. Finish by rinsing with water to remove excess spotter and residue.

6. Complete stain removal by applying a one-half inch layer of white paper towels to the affected area. Weigh the towels down with a flat heavy object. Continue to change paper towels as needed.

Follow instructions under Six Steps to Successful Stain Removal on opposite page before using these procedures.

A. Apply a generous amount of Effortless to the stain, blot with clean, white absorbent toweling. Repeat as needed.

B. Apply Kleen-Pro to the stain. Blot with clean, white absorbent toweling. Repeat as needed. If stain remains, apply Micro-Solve to stain. Cover spotting solution with a clean, white, slightly damp towel. Weigh down towel with a flat heavy object. Continue to change towel as needed.

C. Apply Kleen Tough full strength to stain. Allow to remain on stain 1 - 2 minutes. Blot with clean, white absorbent toweling. As you blot look at the spotting towel, continue spotting procedure until stain transfer is not noticeable. Flush excess spotter from carpet by rinsing with clear water. Blot dry with clean, white towel.

D. Apply D-Solver full strength to stain. Allow to remain on stain 1 to 2 minutes. Agitate with a bone scraper or tamp with a carpet brush. Repeat procedure for complete stain removal. Remove residue by blotting with clean white absorbent toweling.

E. Apply Red Medic directly to stain. Cover with a damp cloth then heat with the steam of an iron. Repeat procedure for complete stain removal.

F. Apply X-Out to stain. Allow to dwell 1 - 2 minutes. Agitate with bone scrapper or tamp with spotting brush. Extract or blot dry.

G. Dilute 4 ounces of Medaquat 64 per gallon of water. Using a spotting brush work solution into the carpet. Allow to set 1 hour. Extract following directions on Carpet Brite label.

H. If carpet is still wet, absorb as much moisture as possible into toweling. Apply Kleen Tan to area following label instructions. Flush with water. Blot dry with clean, white absorbent toweling.

I. After stain removal, apply Maxim following label instructions. To completely remove urine odors, inject Maxim into the backing of the carpet with a hypodermic needle or if possible pull carpet back from floor and spray backing.

J. Apply Rust Out to the stain. Allow to dwell for 1 - 2 minutes. This product must be extracted following instruction on Carpet Brite Label. DANGER: Contains hydrofluoric acid. May cause severe burns to eyes or skin that may not be immediately painful or visible.

K. Apply Kleen-Oil allow to remain 1-2 minutes. Blot with clean, white absorbent toweling. Follow with an application of Kleen Tan following label instructions. Flush with water. Blot dry with clean absorbent toweling.

If stain remains, use Coffee Out carefully following label instructions. Coffee Out must be followed with extraction cleaning. DANGER: Contains hydrofluoric acid. See (K) above.

L. Remove excess soil then saturate the spot with Micro-Solve. Cover spotting solution with a clean, white, slightly damp towel. Weigh down towel with a flat heavy object. Continue to change towel as needed.

M. Remove as much soil as possible then follow instructions (A) then (C).

Coffee-Out
For the complete removal of coffee stains. Use only after trying tannin stain removers. DANGER: Contains hydrofluoric acid Causes severe burns to eyes or skin.

D-Solver
Ideal for removing gum, crayon, candle wax, adhesive, etc.

Effortless
